CCP has launched a website dedicated to the upcoming EVE Fanfest 2009.
The annual event is held in Reykjavîk, Iceland, home of CCP. This year the event has been moved forward to a slightly warmer 1-3 October, and CCP are encouraging EVE fans to check out Iceland while they are there for the Fanfest.
CCP has teamed up with Iceland Travel to offer Fanfest attendees deals on visits to some of Icelands’s glaciers, geysers, volcanoes and waterfalls. They have also put together an Iceland Survival Guide, informing people of local beer prices, night life, shopping and restaurants. In addition to this, for the first time players can use their in-game EVE currency ‘Pilot License Extensions’ (PLEX) to pay for their tickets to the event.
Other features on the site include details of the PvP tournament that will take place, an FAQ, photo gallery and a Fanfest store. Check out the EVE Fanfest site for more info.
