EVE Online to Add Full French Language Support This September

CCP Games, once again, today announced plans to localize EVE Online into French as a fully supported language alongside English, Russian, German, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified). EVE Online, the sci-fi massively multiplayer game with over half a million players worldwide, was amongst the initial select group of video games recently added to the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York and will celebrate its 11th anniversary on 6 May 2014.

The work on a French-localized EVE Online is currently slated for completion in September 2014.

“We see amazing social dynamics happen in the EVE universe every time a large group of players gains easier access to it,” said David Reid, Chief Marketing Officer of CCP. “Sometimes they team up along language lines to form large alliances and wreak havoc. Other times they prove to be tremendously valuable assets to existing groups. We’re proud to be able to give French-speaking gamers a more familiar way to play EVE, and eagerly watch to see what unique place in our universe they carve out for themselves.”
