So after four DDoS attempts to disrupt this event, $3.8 million has been raised and counting. Julie Russon, the Manager of Digital Communication for the the event would like to extend thanks to all participants in all capacities. She also shared that there will be a make-up opportunity on Saturday November 9th to account for lost contributions due to the DDoS attacks.

Extra Life is an event for all gamers (table-top, video gamers and so forth) to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Over the past 5 years, thousands of gamers have participated and millions of dollars have been raised for 170 children’s hospitals in North America.extra-life
