So after four DDoS attempts to disrupt this event, $3.8 million has been raised and counting. Julie Russon, the Manager of Digital Communication for the the event would like to extend thanks to all participants in all capacities. She also shared that there will be a make-up opportunity on Saturday November 9th to account for lost contributions due to the DDoS attacks.

Extra Life: Play Games. Heal Kids. November 2, 2013
Extra Life is an event for all gamers (table-top, video gamers and so forth) to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Over the past 5 years, thousands of gamers have participated and millions of dollars have been raised for 170 children’s hospitals in North America.
This year the event takes place on Saturday, November 2, 2013 and because of daylight savings time you’ll be able to play for 25 hours. Participation is as easy following these 3 steps:

2. Convince your friends & family to sponsor you for as little as $1/hour
3. Play games for 25 hours on November 2, 2013
