With Codemasters’ F1 2020 arriving on July 10, eager fans can get an early headstart with the digital F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition. Available three days before the full release of the racer (so, right now), this provides additional content that celebrates one of the most iconic drivers of all time. If you’re a hardcore fan of Michael Schumacher, or even Formula 1 in general, this edition has some goodies to look forward to in addition to the suite of features.

Celebrating icons

Exclusive car liveries, driver customization items, and unique podium celebrations are just part of the package. The F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition also lets players get behind the wheels of some truly iconic vehicles. The Jordan 191 from 1991, the Benetton B194 from 1994, the Benetton B195 from 1995, and the Ferrari F1-2000 from 2000 all join the selection. In addition, all players will receive the Ferrari F2004 as part of F1 2020‘s classic car line-up.

Codemasters has updated this ride to include the #1 on its nosecone. The car also has Michael Schumacher’s name embossed on the headrest. Players with the F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition will receive an exclusive set of in-game items, too. This is included to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the sport.

Pioneers of the sport

“Today is a celebration of all the hard work from the studio, and it’s exciting to get F1 2020 in the hands of our players,” Lee Mather, F1 franchise game director at Codemasters, said. “Celebrating Michael’s record-setting seven World Championships in a season where Lewis Hamilton is aiming to match his record is fitting. Adding his iconic cars is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, and they will prove incredibly popular.”
