Your beans are gonna have to go faster than usual in the newest crossover Fall Guys event. The lovable speedster everyone knows as Sonic the Hedgehog is crossing over with the obstacle course party game Fall Guys, with new skins and stages themed to the iconic platforming game. This event, a celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog‘s 30th anniversary, will begin later this week and will hopefully encourage you to speed things along.
Developer Mediatonic announced this news through the official Fall Guys Twitter, showcasing the characters featured in this new event. This time, Sonic the Hedgehog will rush onto the obstacle courses alongside Tails, Knuckles, Super Sonic, and Eggman. This event, starting on August 11 and running until August 15, will also feature a brand new stage known as the “Bean Hill Zone.”
Gotta go fast if you want the crown
The Bean Hill Zone won’t be an obstacle course where you have to make it to the end of the stage as fast as you can, unfortunately. Instead, you’ll have to go around collecting the iconic Sonic rings. Collect as many as possible before the end of the match, and get as much as you can to win. You’ll earn rewards such as a nameplate, sneakers, outfits, or Kudos. You can purchase the costumes individually through the game’s shop.
This isn’t the first time Sonic the Hedgehog was featured in Fall Guys, with a costume of the ‘hog added to the game as early as 2020. However, the inclusion of some new skins and stage makes this the most fleshed-out Sonic x Fall Guys crossover yet. Be sure to participate in this limited-time event before it leaves the game for good on August 15, especially if you want to nab these new Sonic skins.
