Fallout 4

Fallout 4’s newest video SPECIALises in Intelligence

If you’re wandering a post-apocalyptic wasteland, you’ll want to be smart about it. I mean, sure, being strong and durable and charismatic might be useful, but the message from this latest Fallout 4 video is that Intelligence is something a bit SPECIAL.

Intelligence, for instance, will let you hack your way through terminals, getting you access to otherwise restricted or sealed-off areas. Intelligence will let you upgrade your chemicals. Intelligence will help you staunch the flow of blood when you take a nasty wound. And – more to the point – Intelligence is also the primary stat used in the new weapon crafting system, so if you want to create some sort of six-barrelled nuclear warhead sniper shotgun, you’ll probably need to have some smarts to go about it. (I don’t actually know if you can create a six-barrelled nuclear warhead sniper shotgun in Fallout 4, but I’m hoping.)

You can see the latest in this surprisingly excellent series of Fallout 4 videos below, anyway. The game itself is due out on 10 November.
