Far Cry 6 expansion includes alien life forms and reality-bending adventures

Things are getting weird.
Far Cry 6 Expansion Release Date Lost Between Worlds

Earlier today, Ubisoft threw off the veil on the rumored Far Cry 6 expansion. It does indeed exist, and it looks like a real trip. Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds takes Dani on an adventure through “a twisted space between worlds” while guided by an alien life form called Fai. Crystalized enemies surround Dani, who has to hop between worlds (oh, I get it) that twist and warp like an MC Escher piece. And you also won’t have to wait long for it. The Far Cry 6 expansion release date is only a week away.

Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds doesn’t appear to be your typical Ubisoft expansion. Yara and its fiery revolution appear to be a distant memory. Dani has seemingly left reality behind after a meteor strikes, sending them hurtling toward a reality-warping experience. Early on, Dani meets a being named Fai who tasks players with hunting down five mysterious shards needed to fix a spaceship. With each shard claimed, Dani becomes stronger.

And it’s just as well, since you’ll be faced with far different foes in the expansion. Shardfaces are crystalline enemies equipped with equally crystalline weapons. You can claim these guns for yourself in the expansion, along with new tools. There are 15 levels, called Rifts, to conquer in what looks like a Metroidvania fashion. Every Rift is different from one another, ranging from floating cities to underwater labyrinths.

Far Cry 6 expansion release date is just around the bend

If that all sounds intriguing enough, then you should be please to know that the expansion is out soon. Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds is scheduled to release on December 6 — though we don’t know how much it’ll cost. Ahead of its launch, Ubisoft released Title Update 6, which includes New Game+ and a Completionist Aid feature to help overachievers find all the hidden goodies in the base game.
