After a quick tease yesterday, EA has revealed more details of FIFA 14 as the top selling footy franchise gets new features.
This latest FIFA comes with new features including new ball physics and what EA are calling Pure Shot which improves player’s finishing as they look for the back of the net. Pure Shot allows players to adjust their stride and approach the ball at the perfect shooting angle which EA say makes scoring a goal feel “more exhilarating and rewarding”. Shots now include pure strikes, off-balance and rushed shots.
The ball physics has been reworked to affect ball trajectories allowing players to kick the ball with more force from distances and adjust the type of shot.
To enhance the realism four other features have been added, Protect the ball which allows players to fend off and block defenders from the ball, there’s improved teammate AI, Sprint Dribble Turns and Variable Dribble Touches.
Career Mode has also been enhanced with the Global Scouting Network where players will scout for new talent throughout the year before the transfer window hits.
Other features listed include
- Changes to the wildly popular FIFA Ultimate Team
- A new online Mode that will encourage social competition
- Multiple new features and benefits to EA SPORTS Football Club, the live service that is the heartbeat of FIFA
- Complete authenticity with more than 500 officially licensed clubs.
So another feature packed addition to the franchise, it’s almost worth going outside and just kicking a ball around now. The game is due for release this autumn.
