Fire at altitude: New Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII screens

If you’ve been thinking that there hasn’t been enough top-draw, historical flight combat games in recent years then you may want to mark September 2012 on your calendar. That’s when Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII is due to hit European shores.
These new images depict dogfights that will take place across the campaign’s four major combat zones; North Africa, The Pacific, The Eastern Front and the Battle of Britain.
Aircraft are based on the real-thing and combat missions are supposedly “representative” of actual WWII engagements. Each of the four above locations can be played as stand alone campaigns, with character unique to each.
Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII is due on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 edition comes with Move support.
Until we get our first taste of hands-on coverage, enjoy these images.
