Fortnite’s Battle Royale map will get slightly bigger

The latest developer update for Fortnite‘s Battle Royale comes with more details of what’s coming up from Epic.

First up is the topic of progression and how it works. As you’d expect, you play to gain experience which levels you up to gain more rewards at key levels. Simple.

Epic is trying not to mess with keybindings and sensitivity settings but they are trying to make the defaults as easy as possible use and understand. Regarding leaderboards, they are not sure if they are going to make them global at the moment. Traps are being given tweaks to speed up trap placement and prototypes are being worked on.

Regarding more maps, there’s none planned yet. Epic wants to flesh out the current map with more points of interest. They do say the map size might be increased slightly but it’s close to what they have aiming for. Whether they will add completely new maps remains to be seen.

All of the above has been highlighted in this short video.
