Fortnite leak claims rideable flying animals could join the island

Soon we may be able to take to the skies.

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 is here and fans have been taken to Paradise. A new season means that you are greeted with a range of new content when you hop into a match. The main attraction this season is Chrome, which is spreading around the island. Also, there are new points of interest, new weapons, the return of Vaults, and much more. Although the season has only just begun, leaks are emerging about what could come in the future. The latest leak suggests that rideable flying animals could be added to Fortnite.

The ability to ride wolves and boars was introduced at the start of the previous season. All you have to do is jump on to the animal’s back and you are ready to go. In addition, an option to pet your animal while mounted was silently made available this season. Petting a wolf or boar will play a cute animation and allow you to bond with your animal during a match.

Fortnite leak points towards a new form of wildlife

Prominent Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, shared details about the potential new type of animal in a tweet. According to them, Epic Games is working on rideable flying animals. In addition, there could be options that allow you to boost and idle while you are mounted on these animals. As HYPEX says, this information could justify the existence of the Saddle item in Fortnite.

At the time of writing, Epic Games has not commented on the leak claiming that rideable flying animals could join the island. Since the mounting option was added to the game, the only animals players have been able to ride are wolves and boars. It is likely that new rideable animals would be welcomed by fans. Rideable flying animals may switch up the pace of a game, but we don’t know if and when that might happen.
