Epic Games has introduced a new in-game currency for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 that allows players to purchase and upgrade loot via NPC vendors. Therefore, it’s important for players to know how to gain as much of the new in-game currency as possible. There are many ways to earn golden bars, but safes offer the highest single yields of anything so far. Players who can manage to find a safe will be rewarded with 150 golden bars. In this guide, we’ll cover all seven of the safe spawn locations that you can find scattered throughout Slurpy Swamp in Fortnite.
The first thing to know about these safes is that the spawn rates are very low. Seeing as they are never guaranteed, it’s best to just look for them as you go about normal looting. However, the spawn locations are often very convenient, so knowing where to check is worthwhile. Just note that some of the images look oddly placed, because we used a drone to capture them in-between walls for easy-to-interpret viewing angles.

All of the safe spawn locations at Slurpy Swamp
These seven safe spawn locations are all spread out across Slurpy Swamp like most of the various locations around the map in Fortnite. Slurpy Swamp can be a popular landing zone, so you will want to consider where you land if you’re trying to be first in checking most of the safe spawn locations. The southwest corner is probably the best place to start, because you can usually check at least four spawns before getting involved in a fire fight. Of course, you can also quickly inspect these if you pass through the location later during a match as well.
We will follow the strategy I just described and start with the warehouse spawns on the southwest corner of location. You can find the first spawn in the westernmost warehouse. It will be on the ground floor in the southwest corner of the building. Head east to the adjacent warehouse and you can find the next safe spawn on the second level in the maintenance room.
Next, wrap around to the lone two story structure at the south side of Slurpy Swamp. This safe is located on the second floor in the offices. Check the north east corner of the office and you’ll spot a safe if it happens to spawn.
From there, the next best safe spawn to check is to the north. Cross the street to the Slurp bar in the center of the Slurpy Swamp complex. This small building has an alley way that wraps around the back of it. You want to check the basement in this building. You can take the alley route or break through the floor to access the basement and find the chest in the corner of the main room behind a counter.
The next safe spawn is in the warehouse with the electrical generator on the northwest end of Slurpy Swamp. You can find the chest on the main level of the building next to a desk.
Now head over to main building on the northeast side of Slurpy Swamp with the giant Slurp vats to find the next safe spawn. There’s a second floor product testing room east of the vats and you can find the safe spawn in the corner.
The last safe spawn is located in the eastern building of Slurpy Swamp where the corporate offices are. You can find this safe in the corner of an office area on the ground floor, just behind the lobby.
