Epic Games has introduced a new in-game currency for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 that allows players to purchase and upgrade loot via NPC vendors. Therefore, it’s important for players to know how to gain as much of the new in-game currency as possible. There are many ways to earn golden bars, but safes offer the highest single yields of anything so far. Players who can manage to find a safe will be rewarded with 150 golden bars. In this guide, we’ll cover all 10 of the safe spawn locations that you can find scattered throughout Sweaty Sands in Fortnite.
The first thing to know about these safes is that the spawn rates are very low. Seeing as they are never guaranteed, it’s best to just look for them as you go about normal looting. However, the spawn locations are often very convenient, so knowing where to check is worthwhile. Just note that some of the images look oddly placed, because we used a drone to capture them in-between walls for easy-to-interpret viewing angles.

Every safe spawn location at Sweaty Sands
You’ll definitely need to spend some time at Sweaty Sands to check all of these Fortnite safe spawn locations. With 10 different spawns spread out around the location, it may be hard to check them all. If you’re landing on the location, the best place to start is going to be at the duplex buildings on the south side. We will start at the lone duplex directly east of the RV park and work around the location in a counter clockwise pattern.
The first safe spawn is located on the second floor of this duplex in the apartment on the right. Once you step inside, you’ll find the safe spawn right next to the bed. You can then shift to the next duplex east across the street. These are easy to check since you can just build a ramp and peek through the windows. Check the second floor of the blue building. The westernmost bedroom has a safe spawn. Now you can check the adjacent room of the same building. Just move south and check that second floor bedroom as well.
Continue east to the next house. This single floor building contains a safe spawn in the east bedroom. You can’t miss it right next to one of the windows.
Now it’s time to move on to the hotel. The next safe spawn is located on the fifth floor of the building in the room where there’s a bed right next to the kitchen. The next safe spawn is in the large building west of the hotel. You can find the safe spawn on the third floor in the apartment. Look left of the bed.
For this next spawn, we’re heading down to the building at the pier. You’ll find this safe if you walk right in the main floor of the restaurant and look towards the counter. You can’t miss it.
We’re heading back to town now. If you’re returning from the pier, you’ll see two signs that say “tacos” and “noms.” Break the second floor wall where the “os” of “tacos” is to reveal a bedroom. The safe spawn is next to the bed. Refer to the map for a better idea of which spawn this is. It’s in the circle around the word “sand” of Sweaty Sands.
Further west is another duplex, which is specifically the blue building just east of the large gas station. You can find the safe spawn in the southwest apartment on the second floor of this building. Just check the space between the stove top and kitchen table.
The final safe spawn takes us back to the RV park. Look inside the RV in the southwest corner. It’s easy to spot this safe from outside if you just peer through the doorway.
