Fortnite Alien Nanites

Fortnite Season 7 has introduced an alien invasion to the popular battle royale game. The new weapons, map changes, weekly challenges, and more have contributed to the invasion experience. Now, the latest update has added more features that are fitting with the alien theme. Alien Nanites have arrived as a part of the latest Fortnite patch. The Alien Nanites have more than one use, and may prove useful in your matches.

To begin, Alien Nanites can be used to upgrade your weapons. In this case, these alien materials work in a similar way to the nuts and bolts. You can use alien nanites to upgrade assault rifles, submachine guns, and sniper rifles which are rare or better. Doing so will upgrade the weapons to either a pulse rifle, Kymera Ray Gun, or rail gun, respectively. If you are a fan of these weapons, you will have an easier time of getting your hands on them.

Take your battles to low gravity environments

Next, alien nanites can be used to alter environments. The Fortnite leaker known as DJ Leaks shared some early footage of the Alien Nanites in action. As you throw them, a jelly-like cube will appear. As you enter the alien biome, you will experience low gravity. You will be able to jump much higher while you are inside of the cube. Upon leaving the alien biome, you will experience no fall damage, so you do not have to worry if you are exit the zone at a high elevation.

Thankfully, getting your hands on the Alien Nanites in Fortnite should not be a difficult task. These are available to find as floor loot and in chests. However, there are increased spawn rates in the Mothership and alien abductors. It is important to note that alien nanites have been disabled in competitive playlists.
