GAME CEO resigns with stores closing now

The end of last week was the supposed deadline for GAME to find a buyer but sadly nobody stepped up.
An email from CEO Ian Shepherd to GAME staff today announces his resignation to allow the administrators to take charge of the company.
In the emails he also states that there are to be “big changes” at the GAME offices and on the high street where stores will face closures. According to MCV, around 300 of the 609 stores across the UK will close with immediate effect.
The administraotrs will now take over with Mike Jarvis of PwC controlling the GAME operation  while it is reshaped to find a buyer.
