What is Everspace?

Everspace is a single player Unreal 4 powered rogue-like space shooter from developer Rockfish Games. In Everspace, you need to piece together the puzzle of your existence through encounters with interesting characters, each having their own unique part of the story to tell.

Every time you die in Everspace, the player retains certain aspects of their progress including ship upgrades acquired up until the point of death. Start again to tweak and enhance your ship before heading back into the adventure. Death is inevitable but is only the beginning of a much larger journey.

Everspace comes with full VR support for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

The game was originally funded on Kickstarter and it easily surpassed its funding goal.

Bought this and realized I hate dying all the time. Looks nice but gets boring quick. Aiming is super hard with a mouse and keyboard. It’s all the same over and over. It’s also a partial rip off of FTL. The stupid map. You have 3 choices of where to fly next and no idea what the differences are? I have only played about 2 hrs but it’s too repetitive. Why the high score is beyond me.

      • Paul Younger

The map in the DLC gives you an indication of difficulty based on what node you select. Not sure if that is the same in the base game as I have both active. I wouldn’t say it was like FTL at all, this is a space combat shooter. You are right in that it won’t be to everyone’s taste, it is a rogue-like after all.

        • Jason Storey

          Absolutely nothing like FTL.
