Gamestation Retail Partner Of Edinburgh Interactive Festival

Gamestation will be the official retail partner of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2009.The Festival is a public event, and will be taking place between the 10th and 16th of August this year.As partner, Gamestation will have a retail area set up in the grounds so the public can buy games there, and “enjoy exclusive Festival offers.”Gamestation will also be hosting a pre-Festival event in August at their branch on Princes Street in Edinburgh, and will have giveaways, competitions, and free gameplay. Details will go up on Gamestation’s site towards the end of July.Gamestation will also be distributing the event’s screening tickets, free of charge, and tickets can also be downloaded from their website. These are all going to be available from the 10th of June. The screenings basically allow publishers, developers, and other game creators to show off their content to the public in dedicated auditoriums – though game-related short films, machinimas, and animations are, we’re told, also welcome. We imagine more news on what’s likely to be at the Festival will appear over the next few months. We’ll keep you posted.
