Genshin Impact – As the Courtyard in Spring Once Appeared puzzle area 1

Let’s talk about the first puzzle area in Genshin Impact‘s As the Courtyard in Spring Once Appeared quest chain, as well as the basic mechanics you’ll encounter.

Basic mechanics:

• Turrets and colored projectiles – Turrets are used to break seals depending on the color of the projectile (i.e., green, yellow, and red).
• Reflectors – The projectiles will bounce off reflectors that can be rotated or adjusted.
• Door switches – Some switches will allow you to change the type of room that you’ll enter.
• Flip switches – Some switches cause the room to flip upside down, revealing new paths.
• Omamori – These small cards are placed on altars to open doorways.

Chamber 1:

• Adjust the reflectors so the green projectile breaks the seal for the yellow crest.
• Use the door switch to reveal a chest and a corridor.
• Rotate the reflectors and fire the turret so the projectile hits the chest.

Chamber 2:

• Use the door switch to reveal the second room. Defeat the baddies inside and pick up the yellow color crest.
• Use the door switch to reveal the first room once more. Rotate the reflectors so the projectile hits the chest at the back.
• Interact with the door switch for the third room. Follow the corridor and pick up the two Omamori cards. Place them on the altar to open the passageway.

Chamber 3:

• Room 1 is basically one giant staircase with three Omamori and three altars. Offering all of these will allow you to exit this area, so don’t do that yet.
• Hit the switch for room 2 and beat up the enemies. Pick up the yellow color crest.
• Check out room 3 to see several reflectors. You don’t need to do anything on the top corridor. Jump down the ladder and adjust/rotate the first two reflectors there. The projectile should hit the crest at the back so you can pick it up.
• Room 4 has another turret and several reflectors. Adjust and rotate these accordingly so you can unlock the chest at the top.
• When you’re done, return to room 1 and place the Omamori on the altars. Pass through the doorway to find Kazuha.
• You’ll get teleported back to the Golden Apple Archipelago. Likewise, you’ll receive two types of rocks for the bonsai pot.
