Genshin Impact: Energy Amplifier Initiation event guide

It feels like a more convoluted way of doing the Hypostatic Symphony event.

First, let’s talk about the objectives of Genshin Impact‘s Energy Amplifier Initiation event.

Starting the event and places of interest

Once you start the quest from the event panel, head just a bit south of Stone Gate. You’ll find three researchers here. Speak to the NPCs and the panel will be updated. You’ll notice that Act I has three places of interest and the rest will become available in the next few days.

These places of interest, as well as the domains you’d visit later, will always be marked on your map. Just head over to the locations to do your tasks.

Irminsul Fruit Fragments and Mutation Stones

Your goal when you reach these places of interest is to interact with the large blue rock called the Irminsul Fruit Fragment. However, because there are enemies nearby, you’d need to eliminate them first. The problem is that red Mutation Stones are also active, and they’d provide damage, defense, and interruption resistance buffs to hostiles. Basically, you’ll fight some mean, beefy mobs.

Still, you can destroy the Mutation Stones to remove the buffs from enemies. Just like ores, you’ll want to swing at them with your claymore users. As far as I’ve noticed, the first couple of locations only have one Mutation Stone, but the third has three.

Note: Although the destruction of Mutation Stones is supposed to dispel enemy buffs, I’ve noticed that a few mobs are still highly resistant to damage. I’m not entirely sure if I missed out on a Mutation Stone, if it’s a bug, or if it’s due to lag.

Anyway, after clearing the area, activate the Irminsul Fruit Fragment to receive some Fractured Fruit Data and some crystals:

  • Fractured Fruit Data – This is the currency used to purchase event shop rewards and your free Diona.
  • Crystals – These are used to provide character buffs via the Energy Amplifier screen.

Once you’ve completed these steps in the three areas (i.e., the ones if you started from Springvale), then you’ve still got more stuff to do. If you open the event panel again, you should see the marked locations for Guyun Stone Forest and Lingju Pass. These places also have three spots and three Irminsul Fragments for you to interact with.

Let’s say you’ve done all of those steps, you can return to the researchers at Stone Gate. They’ll tell you about the Energy Amplifier system. That’s our topic in the next section of our guide.
