Another branching point (endings #3 and #4)
When Noelle talks about her “Chivalric Training,” ask her “where she wants to start.” In a while, she’ll mention how she’s been very busy. Tell her that what she lacks is “strength.”
This branching point is called “Training Ground.” Go to Mondstadt’s training dummy area and you’ll gain control of Noelle. Use her charged attack to spin around and destroy all the training dummies.
Even after you praised Noelle for her prowess, she still feels that something is missing and she can’t figure it out. You have two choices here:
- “Is it because you lack real-world fighting experience?”
- “Because you need more strength!”
A Defender’s Will Is Their Strength
Choose the first option (lack of real-world fighting experience), then convince Noelle to fight some slimes outside Mondstadt. There will be three marked locations here and there’s a time limit, too.
The first one has several Geo slimes that Noelle can handle on her own. Unfortunately, the next two have Dendro slimes and an Eye of the Storm that she probably won’t be able to beat solo.
Still, Noelle doesn’t want to give up. So, head to the final area where you’ll find several hilichurl enemies. You can use the entire party this time, plus Noelle, to take out all the hostiles.
Talk to the NPC to finish the quest. You’ll get “A Defender’s Will Is Their Strength” done.
A Maid Above Ground
After taking out the wooden dummies in “Training Ground,” tell Noelle that she “needs more strength.” Then, you’ll be able to convince her to do some mining.
Go to the first marked location, break open a few ores, and take out the Geo slimes. After that, you’ll need to eliminate a mitachurl.
Suddenly, a rockslide occurs. Noelle can use her attacks to break on through to the other side. In the next area, beat up the Stonehide Lawachurl and mine the crystal ores.
When you’re done, you’ll get “A Maid Above Ground,” another one of Noelle’s endings for her Genshin Impact Hangout Event.
