The entire region is one big puzzle for you to solve.

Dragonspine’s summit: Skyfrost Nail

Fast travel back to the Statue of the Seven and enter the previously blocked cavern.

The pathway will eventually take you to Dragonspine’s summit, Skyfrost Nail.

Of course, there’s yet another thawing puzzle involving shards. There are three of them. Thankfully, they’re all in the same general area.

The first shard/node

For the shard at the bottom, use the first Scarlet Quartz node near the Ruin Guard and the Floating Vex Harpies (yes, I call them that since they look like mobs from Destiny 2).

Note: For the shards in this location, you only need to attack them once to destroy them. Don’t forget to interact with each orb that a shard leaves behind to unlock the seals.

The second shard/node

Next, follow the pathway sloping up until you see an open area with a Frostarm Lawachurl. Take it out and get the warming buff from the nearby node.

Before you shoot the middle shard, snipe the two Ancient Rime blocks near a metal gate that you passed by earlier. One has a chest and the other has a switch that opens the gate. You’ll find a couple more chests therein.

The node should respawn, so go ahead and get the warming buff to crack open the middle shard.

The third shard/node

For the last one, you’ll do a bit of gliding and platforming going further up. Eventually, you’ll reach an Anemo totem. Activate it and use the wind currents and rings to reach the far ledge.

There are a couple of hillichurls here as well as a Scarlet Quartz node. You can use it to remove the Ancient Rime nearby, then look at the gaping maw and snipe the third shard.

After destroying all the shards and activating all the orbs, a pillar will magically form at the center of the area. Then, it’ll float higher and higher towards the sky.

That’s it, you’ve unlocked Genshin Impact‘s Peak of Vindagnyr domain. You can access it by jumping down the pit below. There are five treasure chests here that you can loot.

What will you find at the summit?

Still, don’t forget to check out that floating pillar. If you go back to where you found the third Scarlet Quartz node, there’s a pathway that leads further upwards.

The next section has several torches that you can light up via Pyro skills (thanks, Amber). Then, use an Anemo skill to activate the Anemo totem and ride the wind current.

Fly through the rings and grab the pillar. Climb to the very top and you’ll unlock an achievement. Paimon will even remark that you’re pretty high up in the air already.

Once you’re done, you could return to the Adventurer’s Campsite to speak with Iris. She’ll reward you for completing Genshin Impact‘s “In the Mountains” quest.

Anyway, we can finally discuss the enemies and rewards in the Peak of Vindagnyr domain.
