B-tier characters in Genshin Impact
B-tier characters in Genshin Impact are actually still viable in most situations. The downside is that other options have supplanted them.
Beidou
- Element: Electro
- Role: Sub/Off-field DPS
- Pros:
- Is able to absorb damage with her elemental skill, releasing it as an Electro explosion.
- Her burst creates an Electro discharge that hits numerous opponents; ideal for Electro-based reactions.
- Cons:
- Electro reactions are still some of the worst in the game.
- Doesn’t mesh well with the Raiden Shogun (which would’ve been the ideal pairing).
Diluc
- Element: Pyro
- Role: Main DPS
- Pros:
- Remains consistent as one of the best DPS characters in the game.
- Easy-to-use/straightforward abilities.
- Cons:
- Affected heavily by the power creep over the past few months; damage is great, but supplanted by several options.
- Some of the slowest attack animations in the game.
Fischl
- Element: Electro
- Role: Sub/Off-field DPS
- Pros:
- Great off-field DPS option. Pop Oz and switch to a Pyro/Cryo character for Electro turret-style DPS.
- High uptime between her skill and burst (which also refreshes her skill).
- Cons:
- Damage is significantly weaker now compared to others as a result of power creep.
- Electro reactions are some of the worst in the game.

Eula
- Element: Cryo
- Role: Main DPS
- Pros:
- One of the highest burst potentials of anyone on your roster.
- Can rely on physical damage to make the most out of Pale Flame or Bloodstained Chivalry.
- Cons:
- Lengthy and precise rotation.
- Focusing on physical capabilities means she won’t mesh well with perma-freeze comps.

Qiqi
- Element: Cryo
- Role: Support (Healing)
- Pros:
- Off-field healing to help exploration and heal-on-attack capability.
- Burst can mark enemies so active characters can heal themselves when attacking the target.
- Cons: No other reliable function besides healing (which she’s still very good at).

Klee
- Element: Pyro
- Role: Main DPS
- Pros:
- High damage ceiling; one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact.
- Massive explosions for AoE damage.
- Cons:
- Poor synergy with elemental reactions.
- Significantly more complicated to use due to rotations and animation canceling.

Sucrose
- Element: Anemo
- Role: Support (Elemental mastery)
- Pros:
- One of the best support characters.
- Swirl reactions and burst provide more elemental mastery for the entire party.
- Cons: Significantly weaker compared to most Anemo options; including a weak pull.
Ningguang
- Element: Geo
- Role: Main DPS
- Pros:
- Jade Screen elemental skill can block projectiles.
- Machine gun-like playstyle where she continues to fire her own projectiles.
- Cons:
- Jade Screen can get easily destroyed since it’s unlikely that you’ll stack HP on her.
- Poor defensive capabilities outside of this option.
