Genshin Impact: How to complete Tracker Training in Dragonspine

Are you finally going to find some use for Amber?

After finishing the Snowy Past quest, you’ll gain access to three activities in Dragonspine. One of these is called Tracker Training. It entails shooting Ice Crystal Piles with Pyro attacks, causing them to melt and reveal their rewards. Here’s our Genshin Impact Dragonspine Tracker Training guide to help you with this objective in the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event.

Genshin Impact Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event guide – Dragonspine Tracker Training

The Dragonspine Tracker Training activity in Genshin Impact has an ice block icon when you check the world map. You can also open the event panel and click on it to see where the marker is. When you get there, the minimap shows a larger, golden outline symbolizing the active zone where you can find the Ice Crystal Piles. There are usually eight of these in an area.

Note: More often than not, melting these structures with your Pyro attacks will net you important loot. These include clothing and accessories that can be used when you’re building a snowman.

Location #1: Wyrmrest Valley (North)

The first location is Wymrest Valley, just north of the Cryo Hypostasis. The first ice block can be seen when you go along the pathway leading to the marker (seen in the image above). There’s also another one off to the side behind a couple of trees. Then, if you look to your right, you’ll see five more. The last one is at the base of the mountain near this set of ice crystals.

The second location is east of the Snow-Covered Path. You can see all eight of them if you use the tall pillar and the lake as vantage points.

As of now, only two locations are available for the Dragonspine Tracker Training activity in Genshin Impact. The rest are expected to go live in the coming days. Oh, and if you find all eight Ice Crystal Piles in each area, make sure you claim the rewards from the event panel:

  • 30x Primogems
  • 120x Snowstrider Emblems
  • Snowman Head: Catsclamation (first location) and Snowman Head: Rhythm of Laughter (second location).
