Version 2.1 of Genshin Impact will conclude the epic main story that has been playing out on the recently released Inazuma region. It will also add a wealth of new content, including two more major islands, three new playable characters, as well as a series of seasonal events celebrating the game’s first anniversary.

On top of all that, players will also receive Aloy, from Horizon Zero Dawn, for free. She will be a five-star character. And all you need to do to get her is reach Adventure Rank 20 in Version 2.1 or 2.2. Aloy is a crossover character, and she marks the beginning of cross-save as a feature in Genshin Impact. You will be able to hop between PC, PlayStation, and mobile to enjoy your adventures.

The grand finale

Genshin Impact Version 2.1 continues its tradition of flamboyant names by titling the next chapter Floating World Under the Moonlight. It sounds mystical and romantic. I love it.

Version 2.0 set players on a journey through Inazuma. The main Archon Quest will conclude in Version 2.1 and players will be able to visit Watatsumi and Seirai Island. Watatsumi is the home of the resistance forces and boasts a beautiful dreamlike landscape. In contrast, Seirai is desolate and shrouded in perpetual storms. In these new areas, you will encounter the new bosses Hydro Hypostasis, Thunder Manifestation, and the new Trounce Domain Boss, Signora.

As you can see from the trailer above, you will be able to unlock Raiden Shogun, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kujou Sara as playable characters once the Genshin Impact Version 2.1 release date arrives. Raiden Shogun is a five-star Electro polearm user who will deal massive damage, while also providing helpful buffs to your team.

Sangonomiya Kokomi is the leader of the resistance, as well as the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. She is also a five-star character who wields the power of Hydro and provides her team with substantial healing.

Lastly, Kukou Sara is an Electro bow-wielding character and the general of the Tenryou Commission loyal to the Shogun. Much like Raiden Shogun, she can deal Electro-damage and provide buffs to her teammates.

Grab a fighting pole, have a bite to eat, enjoy the festivities

Genshin Impact Version 2.1 will also see the Moonchase Festival begin outside Inazuma. The festival will include lots of cooking and eating of local delicacies. There will also be a big treasure hunt across Liyue, Mondstadt, and Dragonspine in the Moonlight Seeker event. Among the rewards you can earn is the new four-star claymore Luxurious Sea-Lord to max refinement.

No RPG is complete without fishing. And with Version 2.1, Genshin Impact is introducing this fan-favorite pastime. The fish you catch can be cooked into delicious meals or traded for rewards and new fishing rods. Plus, the new furnishing item added to the Serenitea Pot system, the Pool of Sapphire Grace, will allow you to raise Ornamental Fish.

Don’t forget, the Phantom Flow event is currently underway in Genshin Impact. You can check out our guide for it here and get helps with loads of in-game content on our guides and features hub.

Genshin Impact is free-to-play and available for download on PC via the game’s website.
