Genshin Impact version 2.4 adds Shenhe, Yun Jin, Enkanomiya, and more

Say goodbye to your primogems.

The start of 2022 has something huge in store for fans of the Traveler and co. That’s because Genshin Impact will have its version 2.4 update, known as “Fleeting Colors in Flight.” It adds characters like Shenhe and Yun Jin, as well as the Enkanomiya zone.

As with most updates, “Fleeting Colors in Flight” is expected to last roughly six weeks. Because of this, it will also coincide with the Lantern Rite Festival, the game’s take on the Chinese New Year celebration. We’ll see these additions and more when version 2.4 becomes available on January 5.

Genshin Impact version 2.4 – Shenhe, Yun Jin, and banner reruns

Two characters that fans might be looking forward to in Genshin Impact‘s version 2.4 update are Shenhe and Yun Jin. The former is a 5-star Cryo character and the latter is a 4-star Geo character.

Both are able to support your teams. In Shenhe’s case, her abilities can buff the Cryo damage of party members based on her ATK. Yun Jin, meanwhile, improves normal attack damage with a buff that scales with her DEF stat.

Apart from Shenhe and Yun Jin, version 2.4 of Genshin Impact will also see several banner reruns. As of now, it’s expected that Shenhe will go live alongside Xiao on January 5. After those two, we’ll see Ganyu and Zhongli at the same time. If you’ve been saving up on primogems, then you definitely don’t want to miss these peeps as they are some of the best characters in the game.

Speaking of characters, the Prosperous Partnerships reward allows you to choose any 4-star character from Liyue. Your choices include Xiangling, Beidou, Xingqiu, Ningguang, Chongyun, Xinyan, and newcomer Yun Jin.

Enkanomiya and new enemies

Players who’ve visited Watatsumi Island (added in version 2.1) will be familiar with the Moon-Bathed Deep world quest. In it, you collected various fragments until you unlocked the Heart of Watatsumi. Although you did receive a key, you couldn’t do anything with it yet. However, with Genshin Impact‘s version 2.4 update, you’ll finally be able to enter Enkanomiya.

The mysterious realm is an underwater island that’s filled with enemies. You’ll battle Bathysmal Vishaps (it seems like we’ll see Hydro and Electro types), and the Abyss Lector Fathomless Flames (i.e., the Pyro variant).

Lantern Rite Festival 2022 and more

As mentioned earlier, the Lantern Rite Festival, Genshin Impact‘s take on the Chinese New Year, will make a return. It looks like you’ll be helping the people of Liyue with the preparations, similar to the original event. Windtrace, the hide-and-seek minigame, will also be part of the festivities. Lastly, it seems that Ningguang is attempting to reconstruct the Jade Chamber.
