Genshin Impact: Erebos’ Secret – Yachimatahiko’s Trial guide

Yachimatahiko’s Trial or Yachimatahiko’s Locus is connected to The Narrows area in Genshin Impact. Go to the pool of water in the grassy area in the northeastern section of this zone. Then, glide and let the Ghostfish current take you through the portal.

Once you’re there, you’ll need to interact with all four Flames of the High Gate. Accessing these areas is possible by solving the Whitenight and Evernight puzzle mechanics.

Flame #1

  • From the main area with the Triangular Mechanism, follow the corridor to the left and go up the stairs. You should see the Whitenight/Evernight switch (as shown in the image above).
  • Switch to Whitenight and jump down to smack the Triangular Mechanism.
  • Switch to Evernight and jump down again. Hit the blue Triangular Mechanism this time.
  • This will open the nearby barricade, allowing you to pick up the flame.

Flame #2

  • Go back upstairs and switch to Whitenight.
  • Go along the corridor but, instead of going upstairs, look to your right to see a small nook with the second flame.

Flame #3

Back upstairs (assuming it’s still Whitenight), continue climbing the ruins until you’re near one of the Key Sigils.

You should be able to jump and glide to reach the third flame. If not, you can try to look for a higher vantage point before gliding.

Flame #4

  • Head back down and swap to Evernight.
  • Check the small nook opposite the tower near the day cycle switch to see a Triangular Mechanism.
  • Hit the device to move the stone wall.

After collecting all four Flames of the High Gate, continue along the hill until you reach the shade. This will complete the Yachimatahiko’s Trial quest in Genshin Impact.

Note: Don’t forget to finish Yachimatahime’s Trial and Kunado’s Trial as well. When you’re done with all three, return to Erebos to finish the Erebos’ Secrets quest.
