Yanfei’s best artifacts: 4x Crimson Witch of Flames vs. 4x Wanderer’s Troupe
For Yanfei’s artifacts in Genshin Impact, I feel that the two best sets are the Crimson Witch of Flames and Wanderer’s Troupe.
The Crimson Witch of Flames artifact set drops from the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula domain. While the two-piece bonus is good (+15% Pyro damage), it’s the four-piece bonus that’ll really pump up the damage. You can gain +40% overload and burning damage, +15% vaporize and melt damage, and a stacking increase to the bonus Pyro damage from the two-piece effect whenever you use your elemental skill. You do need to make sure that you can trigger an elemental reaction first, such as getting Ganyu to spawn a blizzard or having Xingqiu pop his rain swords. I should also mention that the stacking Pyro damage lasts only 10 seconds per stack, and Yanfei’s elemental skill has a nine-second cooldown.
Conversely, you might opt for the Wanderer’s Troupe artifact set which comes from elite bosses, as well as weekly bosses like Andrius, Stormterror, and Childe/Tartaglia. While the two-piece bonus (+80 elemental mastery) isn’t anything to write home about, the four-piece set grants +35% charged attack damage if the character wields a bow or catalyst. Given how often you’d use Yanfei’s charged attacks, you can have decent DPS output with this.
