Genshin Impact: Completing the Yougou Cleansing and the Miasmic Tumor boss fight
While you’re gliding down, make sure that you’re able to collect the Electroculi and Onikabuto that are scattered here. Likewise, be reminded that the Balethunder effect is active throughout this area. You’ll continue losing health unless you’re under the effects of the Thunder Bough/Electrograna.
At the bottom of the pit, you’ll see a lone Ochimusha samurai. Take it out and the Miasmic Tumor will spawn. This boss isn’t tough, but it has some annoying attacks such as homing bombs and an Optic Blast-esque beam.
So, how exactly does this fight progress? Well, first, take a look at the pattern/puzzle at the start of the phase.
Assuming the “pray” switch is the bottom mid, then you’ll want to adjust depending on the pattern that you see. That’s because the Miasmic Tumor will enter multiple phases where it can’t be damaged. For each phase, you could see a different pattern.
Phase 1 (100% to 75% HP):
- Bottom mid – 1
- Bottom right – 2
- Top right – 3
- Bottom left – 4
- Top left – 5
Phase 2 (75% to 25% HP):
- Bottom mid – 1
- Bottom left – 2
- Top left – 3
- Bottom right – 4
- Top right – 5
Phase 3 (25% to death):
- Bottom mid – 1
- Bottom left and bottom right – 2
- Top left and top right – 3
Whenever you successfully complete a puzzle, the Miasmic Tumor will drop down on the ground. This allows you to nuke it as much as possible, though try to beware of its beam and bomb attacks. Oh, and there seems to be an odd bug where certain portions of its body don’t take damage. For instance, I used Kazuha’s burst while infused by Pyro, but the boss’ HP wasn’t dropping.
In any case, after the DPS phase, the boss will become invulnerable once more. Eliminate any Ochimusha samurai so that the next pattern appears. Complete it, and continue damaging your target.
