Gigantopithecus Stomps into ARK: Survival Evolved

ARK: Survival Evolved brought about a new update today which included the monstrous, ape-like Gigantopithecus. This is a face within the game that players can fight against or team up with. The creature can be calm and collected at times, but when triggered can be very aggressive. However, players can tame the new creature via non-violent feeding and harness it’s powers to fight opposing players or creatures. Players will be able to ride on the shoulders of the  Gigantopithecus once it is domesticated, and be hurled over enemy barricades.

Included in the update is the new “SCUBA” gear set which allows players to explore the depths of ARK without oxygen compromise.

The game is due out for full release on June 2016 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
