The near futuristic shooter is available as a one-time purchase, allowing players to access the majority of the game’s features. You can also choose to pay a monthly subscription fee to gain access the Conquest content, which includes a persistent world map with controllable territories and the ability to craft upgrades for characters.

“Our vision for Global Agenda was to combine elements from our favorite genres: the combat of a team-based shooter, accessible character progression of a role playing game, and emergent conflict, production and politics between player-formed groups competing for limited territory like a giant strategy game”, said Todd Harris, Global Agenda executive producer. “Plus jetpacks, because who doesn’t like jetpacks?!”

The Conquest content is free to everyone who buys Global Agenda from now until 3 March 2010. The game launches in the UK this Friday, so in the meantime, check out our walkthrough video, and keep your eyes out for the next instalment, where Paul, Elly, Gunnar and I tackle a mission or two by ourselves, fresh out of training.
