Go nuts for Squirrel Girl in Marvel Heroes [Video]

Gazillion has released a few more details of its forthcoming free-to-play MMO Marvel Heroes (formerly known as Marvel Universe Online), along with a first trailer which shows a bit of gameplay. The most important piece of information is that Marvel’s Squirrel Girl will be a playable character.
What, you need more than that? Well fine. It sounds as if the game is going in a sort of MMO-combined-with-a-dungeon-crawler direction (backed up by the gameplay in the trailer). That’s not too surprising when you remember that Gazillion’s David Brevik was a co-founder of Blizzard North.
You’ll be able to mix and match super hero abilities, customising one of the thousands of Marvel heroes in the game by “constructing costumes taken from each hero’s rich history, choosing from a huge array of super powers for each character, and finding thousands of other items”.
Outside of dungeon crawler-ey missions, you can interact with other players in the game’s social areas (such as “Midtown Manhattan and the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning”) and buy new items.
The game is being written (in part at least) by Brian Michael Bendis, author of multiple Marvel tales. Marvel Heroes is coming to the PC.
