The Good Old Games team are in the middle of holding what can best be described as a bizarre demonstration of the new Good Old Games website which confirms that Good Old Games is coming back with a new look and new features on a spanking new site. You can tune into the demonstration via this link (Update: confernece is now over) now which is being presented by members of the GoG team dressed as monks.

Features highlighted in the conference included:

    No DRM
    Facebook ‘lIke’ added.
    Search by category
    Related Games
Follow discussions related to games in the community section and track your discussions
The GoGMix, recommenfdations from experienced users for new users.

Closing the chat, the guys from GoG stated that they had ‘technical issues’ with the site which is why they shut it down over the weekend. Of course we know this was a marketing stunt which has worked rather well creating a real buzz about the site and brand.
Perhaps the GoG team didn’t exactly handle the shutting down particularly well, but at least now fans and customers of the site know its future is safe.
