It’s tricky to decide how closely to follow Grand Theft Auto V news stories when a possible PC version is, just that, “possible.” People would clearly like a PC release of the latest in Rockstar’s famous open world series, but the developer is remaining fairly ambiguous on the issue.
Today, Rockstar announced that the game will be released on 17 September this year. That represents a delay from the previously announced summer release, and is, as far as we know, only relevant to console gamers at the present time.
Clues persist, however. Rockstar’s Dan Houser told IGN that a PC version was “up for consideration,” and a LinkedIn profile belonging to Rockstar animator Ryan Schacter listed “GTA V – Xbox 360, PS3, PC – Cutscene animation.”
Nothing concrete, but a PC version may emerge. Probably in 2014, let’s be honest.
