Grand Theft Auto V’s Latest Patch Is Causing Performance Issues

Update 1.28 was supposed to turn Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V into an even bigger party. The Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part Two was supposed to bring with it more cars, clothes, and guns, among other things; PC players in particular were in for a different surprise.

Normally, ill-gotten gains weigh on the person’s conscience, not on their gaming rig. What many players have found, though, is that they were experiencing performance issues concerning framerates. Rockstar has acknowledged the user reports on their support website, and are looking into the matter. It’s still uncertain what part of the latest update could have caused this issue. Lower framerates are not necessarily the end of the world, but it does tend to bring the party to a screeching halt.

We’re not sure how other people would react to the “Dude, where’s my car?!” moment that some folks are encountering, though…
