GTA 5’s Latest Patch Kills Mods – But Was It Intentional?

GTA 5’s latest patch disables mods by way of fixing bugs. It’s not quite clear if this was intended or not.

Basically, mods are disabled because it renders Script Hook V unusable. You can still play with mods BTW, but you will have to revert to a previous version, and along the way, you will only be able to play offline.

This follows a series of bans on mods that also had gamers scratching their heads, as the boundaries of what is and isn’t allowed was not clear.

It seems that Rockstar prefers not to allow mods, but won’t outright ban them to keep fans happy. Frankly, I think they would be better off admitting to their position in public, but what do you think? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
