ArenaNet and NCSoft have decided to bite the bullet and drop the retail price of Guilg Wars 2.
Guild Wars 2 is probably slightly more expensive than your average PC game with a RRP of £34.99/$49.99 for the Standard Edition and £49.99/$69.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition.
ArenaNet has been fairly cranking out the content for the game since it launched with the most recent Southsun Cove event concluding shortly.
We’re not exactly sure how healthy the Guild Wars 2 sales numbers are, but when prices begin to fall there’s always a little concern that number may be dropping off. Although there’s lots of great content being added to Guild Wars 2, we have to remember RIFT which received large content updates every couple of months but still failed to bring in much new business.
Guild Wars 2 is a great MMO and a price drop is great for the consumer and should with any luck bring some new blood to Tyria.
