The game, which proved highly popular with testers, passed to HanbitSoft when original developers Flagship Studios sunk last year following the poor performance of Hellgate: London. The state of Mythos has been unknown up until now, but a contact from HanbitSoft assures players that the game is in “good condition” and is still in development.

According to the statement, HanbitSoft plans to introduce the world view, background story and class details soon. Alboos, a member of the T3 development team, recently wrote an open letter in Korean discussing the condition of the game as it is being reconstructed and stating that they strive to retain the strengths of Mythos as fans knew it, but are also building up the online side of the game for a better multi-player experience. Alboos also mentioned that many ideas in Mythos were based on the Blizzard title ‘Diablo‘, and that they are trying to stay true to the theme.
