Don't skip Math, kids.

Helldivers 2’s Eagle bomb’s angle of attack ruins perfectly laid plans

The Helldivers 2 subreddit is full of amazing action scenes and awe-inspiring acts of liberty and freedom, but every now and then there are videos and accounts that are simply hilarious. It’s hard not to find obscene and insane feats with the tools that the game gives you.

Reddit user JinzuRazer shared an experience that his friend and him had with an Eagle bomb call. A dastardly tank had just been dropped in, bringing with it omens of death and destruction. Nothing an Eagle bomb can’t handle, right?

Well, yes, but there was one thing they hadn’t accounted for.

What the poor Helldivers didn’t consider, however, was the angle that the Eagle bomb would be dropping in at. Like in real life, the bombs and payloads in Helldivers 2 don’t fall vertically out the sky. They have an angled approach. And apparently, you need to keep that in mind.

The best part of the video is honestly the fact that the Eagle Bomb should have torn through that tiny wedge of earth it embedded in. But no, it stops dead in its tracks, as if out of spite. Although their reactions to the bomb dropping in front of them is also golden.

Upon throwing an Eagle Bomb, the missile will soar into action at a rather steep angle in the direction that you threw it in. So if you’ve just thrown it off a cliff, then it’ll likely hit the cliff instead of your target. Make sure there is plenty of room for the Eagle Bomb to land.

Learning how to use your stratagems properly will save your life, and your teammates’ lives.
