Worms Rumble Launch

Here comes the boom, Worms Rumble launches on Steam

Hallelujah!

The traditionally turn-based, considered destruction of Worms is taking a back seat in the franchise’s latest title, Worms Rumble. For the first time in Worms‘ history, you can blow up your enemies (and friends) in real-time and fast-paced combat. Worms Rumble launches on Steam today and offers players three modes to choose from: Deathmatch, Last Worm Standing, and Last Squad Standing.

In Deathmatch, players will be able to queue up solo or in a party with friends. When you die, you’ll respawn back into the action in no time to continue the mayhem. As for Last Worm Standing and Last Squad Standing, these are a variation on the currently wildly popular battle royale genre. These game modes will contain up to 32 players and, as the name of the game suggests, the last player standing (or slithering?) wins.

At launch, Worms Rumble will have three unique maps: Missile Mall, Portal Park, and Transforming Towers. Each one has some unique features for players to experience. According to developer Team17, the coming weeks and months will add more free content to the explosive title.

Get ready to rumble in style

As with all shooting games, dominating your opponents is only half the job. The other half is looking good while doing it. In Worms Rumble, you will be able to customize your Worms with a range of outfits and weapon skins. You will be able to unlock these through level progression and the use of in-game currency.

One of the most attractive features of Worms Rumble is that it features cross-play between Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. You can drop in and get explosive right now on PC by purchasing Worms Rumble through Steam. If you want to look particularly fancy, you can pick up the Action-Allstars or Legends Pack to receive some funky outfits.
