Heroes Of The Storm Tournament Revealed, $ 1.2 Million Prize Pool

Blizzard has revealed Heroes of the Storm will have a $ 1.2 million prize pool for a tournament in the upcoming Blizzcon.

Eight teams will be competing, from different regions of the world. You can see the breakdown below. Most of the money goes to regionals, with $ 500,000 reserved for the grand champion.

Heroes of the Storm joins Starcraft 2, Hearthstone, and World of Warcraft in having world championships for Blizzcon. Notably, the game goes into open beta only this May 19, with an official launch on June 2. Blizzcon will be held this November 6 to 7.
