Hogwarts Legacy: Where to find Mandrake

SCREEAAACHHH!

Mandrakes are a type of sentient plant creature in Hogwarts Legacy. While buried in the ground, they’d look pretty harmless. But, once pulled out, their strange look is the last thing you’d worry about. They’ll screech and scream, causing immense pain to those nearby. Here’s our Hogwarts Legacy guide to help you find Mandrakes, a plant item that can be used during combat.

Hogwarts Legacy guide – Where to find Mandrake

You can find Mandrake in Hogwarts Legacy by heading to Dogweed and Deathcap. This shop is located at the northeastern outskirts of Hogsmeade Village. The building looks both ominous and peculiar, situated on a hilltop a bit further away from the other vendors.

Talk to the NPC there to make your purchase. You can either get the actual plant that’s ready-to-use in combat (cheaper but single-use only) or seedling packets (slightly more expensive but you can harvest the item repeatedly).

Let’s say you decided to buy the Mandrake in Hogwarts Legacy so you can grow more of these creatures down the line. Head to the Greenhouses where you usually attend your Herbology classes and bring the seedlings there. Place the Mandrake in a small pot and wait for a few minutes. After the time elapses, these scream-tastic turnip will be ready for harvest.

In battle, you can use the Mandrake to do an area-of-effect stun and a bit of damage. Simply hold the tab key to select it, and press the tab key to bring it out so it can screech. This can be helpful when you’re surrounded by groups of enemies, since popping the Mandrake will hit almost every hostile that you can see nearby. It’s slightly less potent in single-target encounters since it’s meant to be for AoE use.
