The Godmaster content pack for Hollow Knight is out now and it’s free

Hollow Knight is an indie game that we all keep coming back to. Developer Team Cherry has crafted a wonderful side-scrolling adventure that was touted as the cream of the crop when it comes to Metroidvania games. Their business model has also earned them a lot of brownie points from fans. That’s because its content drops are free. The fourth and final one — Godmaster, previously known as Gods & Glory — is now available. Check out the (slightly-spoilerific) boss fight below courtesy of YouTube channel Boss Fight Database.

Hollow Knight – Godmaster

Team Cherry mentioned that Godmaster will be the final chapter for Hollow Knight. They’ve also cited that it’s the biggest content pack of all with new areas, quests, and enemies. Naturally, there’d be additional bosses to contend with such as the ones above.

Godmaster follows their formula for success with past free content packs and updates such as Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, and Lifeblood. It’s definitely worth coming back to if you’re a fan of the game and the genre. Better yet is that Hollow Knight is currently on sale with a 34 percent discount on Steam. According to Isthereanydeal.com, the discounted price of $9.89, matches the historical low for the game when it went on sale in the past. If you’re wondering whether to grab the game for yourself or your buddy, this would be a great time to do so.

I’m still hoping for playable Hornet DLC (which they’ve been hinting would be paid) but hey, at least now I have yet another reason to reinstall this.

With all the stuff they’ve released that’s already free, I do hope they release something that’s paid. I’m sure the fans are eager to support the devs in any case, and they’ve proven that they’re not going to go overboard with paid content.
