Honkai Star Rail: How to solve Abacus Circuitry Puzzle

Honkai: Star Rail presents a number of puzzles as you journey to different planets. Many of them are optional, but some of them are not and may halt your adventure if you’re not sure how to proceed. Here is our guide telling how to solve the abacus circuitry puzzle in Honkai: Star Rail.

How to solve the Abacus Circuitry puzzle in Honkai Star Rail

The Abacus Circuitry puzzle in Honkai: Star Rail must be solved as you work your way through the Venom Brews, Immortality Looms sub-mission while exploring The Xianzhou Luofu. It is the sixth sub-mission presented as part of the overall Windswept Wanderlust mission. You encounter the abacus around halfway through the mission, when you try to decode a letter you have intercepted.

To solve the Abacus Circuitry puzzle, you need to rotate the top and bottom portions of the puzzle in just the right way. Your goal is to bring the tile emblazoned with an ‘S’ from the top of the play area to the bottom.

There are two light green hexagons at the center of the puzzle. You can interact with the top one to rotate the top of two rings. After tapping that hexagon, rotate it four times counter-clockwise (left). It should settle into place just to the right of the top and bottom hexagons, along the right edge of the play area.

Next, interact with the bottom of the two green hexagons. Rotate the puzzle two spaces to the right. The ‘S’ will match up with the lighter imprint along the bottom of the puzzle. You will exit the puzzle and receive notice that you have ‘cracked’ the code.

If you haven’t already done so already, now is a good time to power up your characters. You should soon face a two-round battle with some mara-struck enemies and shape shifters. Make sure you have characters ready with strong ice and wind attacks. I used March 7th and Dan Heng, accompanied by Serval and Bailu, and the encounter went swimmingly. As long as you have your characters properly equipped, you should be good to go.
