Randolph’s Journals are a new type of collectible in House of Ashes. When you pick up one of them, a short cinematic will play telling you about the trials faced by Randolph Hodgson and the archaeologists that entered Naram-Sin’s temple many decades ago. The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes guide – All Randolph’s Journal locations
Randolph’s Journal entries in House of Ashes appear as torn pages. Once you have one in your hand, you need to turn the page over to obtain the secret and make the cinematic play. You could even unlock a couple of bonus features. Oh, and don’t forget that we also have related guides pertaining to premonitions/pictures, other secrets/collectibles, and achievements.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 1
- Chapter: The Temple (Rachel)
- Location: On a desk inside a small tent. It’s next to where you’ll find the gasoline.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 2
- Chapter: After the Fall (Jason)
- Location: Go through the tunnel until you reach a well-lit room with a statue. The journal entry is near the Staked premonition/stone tablet.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 3
- Chapter: After the Fall – Slayer (Nick)
- Location: Follow the tunnel until you reach a cavern. It’s next to the Surrendered premonition/stone tablet.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 4
- Chapter: The Truce – Bloodbath (Jason)
- Location: When you reach the floor above the burial pit, examine the objects here. The page is near the Tripwire premonition/stone tablet.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 5
- Chapter: The Truce – Bloodbath (Rachel)
- Location: Check behind one of the pillars/Pazuzu statues to find this page.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 6
- Chapter: The Signal (Nick)
- Location: This page is on a crate on the opposite end of the cliffside area. Jason might pop up here as part of a short cutscene, but you can still examine the other stuff as long as you don’t interact with the radio.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 7
- Chapter: The Horror – Enemy of my Enemy (Salim)
- Location: The journal entry is on the floor next to a light source.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 8
- Chapter: The Horror – Enemy of my Enemy (Salim)
- Location: A bit later, you’ll find a sick bay with several prison cells. The page is on the ground inside one of the cells. Do not interact with the metal gate or you’ll end up leaving this area.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 9
- Chapter: Brothers
- Location: On the ground along the passageway.
Randolph’s Journal – Part 10
- Chapter: Strange Aeons
- Location: On a desk in the Star Chamber.
