This M4 build is best in increasing your overall damage, stability, and range while playing Ranked Play games in Modern Warfare 2.  More specifically, it focuses on more damage, better stability, range, and slightly faster ADS while losing out on some mobility.

  • Muzzle: Echoless-80 (-0.59 oz. Weight, +0.77 In. Length) or the FTAC Castle Comp (+0.54 oz. Weight, +0.30 In. Length).

The Echoless-80 muzzle allows you to increase the damage and bullet velocity, the catch is that you’ll be sacrificing a bit of ADS speed, but with the M4, it’s not that noticeable. If you want more control, we recommend using the FTAC Castle Comp with the drawback of having lesser damage.

  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip (+0.59 oz. Weight, +0.30 In. Length).
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser (-0.31 oz. Weight, -31.26 ft. Zeroing Distance).
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip (-0.39 oz. Weight, -0.40 In. Width).

The Barrel is the Edge-47 Grip which aims to compensate for the lack of recoil stability with the Echoless-80 in exchange for lesser ADS speed. To regain the lost ADS Speed, we used the FSS OLE-V Laser, which increases your ADS speed, aiming stability and sprint-to-fire speed. The Sakin ZX Grip, on the other hand, allows you to have lesser recoil in exchange for a hit in aiming stability.

  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag.
  • Receiver: M4.

The last part is the Magazine, which is entirely optional because it will lower your overall mobility (not by much), is the 45-Round Magazine. If you want an alternative to the Magazine, swap it out for the 5.56 Armor Piercing Ammunition if you’re playing on close-ranged maps.

  • Perks: Strong Arm, Tracker, Spotter, Overclock.
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box.
  • Grenades: Stun Grenade, Semtex.
  • Secondary Firearm: X12 (XRK LUC-1, 1mW Pistol Laser, XRK Lighting Fire, Cronen LIMA-6).

For perks, you’d want Strong Arm, Tracker, Spotter, and Overclock mainly, which will help you track enemies and protect you from traps because of how fast and dynamic you can be with this build. For the Field Upgrade, we went with a standard Munitions Box because, in our experience, we mainly get a lot of kills with this build, and you’d be quickly running out of ammo in a single life. Lastly, despite the nerfs, the X12 is still the best secondary weapon for close-quarters combat if you ever run out of ammo with the M4.
