Tears of the Kingdom – how to complete the Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish side quest

You can’t access the Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish side quest until you finish the Sidon of the Zora main quest. That main quest requires you to find and clear the Water Temple. If you need help with that last step, check our guide explaining how to turn on all four faucets in the Water Temple.

Once you have assisted Sidon and Zora Domain has returned to its former splendor, you’re ready to talk to some NPCs. They have new things to say. To complete the Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish side quest, help Sidon find the Vah Ruta Divine Helm in a nearby cave.

Start your effort by meeting Sidon in the throne room. Accept the information he gained from ancient writings. He concludes a treasure may be hidden somewhere nearby. This conversation initiates the Secret Treasure Under the Great Fish side quest.

Now, leave the throne room and head toward the lower portion of Zora’s Domain. There is a long bridge. Walk about halfway along the bridge. Below the long bridge, you’ll see the top of a large waterfall. It’s a short distance southwest from Mogawak Shrine.

Drop down from the high bridge and drift toward the waterfall. Paraglide through it near its left center (when facing northeast toward the shrine). You’ll pass through the waterfall to land on a rocky ledge. There is an opening. Enter it to receive notice you have discovered Cave Under Zora’s Domain. The above map screenshot indicates the cave’s entry location.

Inside the cave, look forward. You should see a large chasm along the floor, the Chasm Under Zora’s Domain. It rests at the center of an island of rock in the middle of the wide stream. From the high entry ledge, jump out and float over the chasm. Make your way toward the back of the chamber. Another waterfall awaits.

Head through that second waterfall to reach a hidden room. There, you will find a treasure chest. Open it to obtain the Vah Ruta Divine Helm. Once you open the chest, you complete the Treasure Under the Great Fish side quest.
