How to complete Spotting Spot in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Finding ourselves a lost horse.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom boasts an open-world with an immense amount of content. Ranging from side quests, to little things to find in the open-world, you’re never out of things to find in Tears of the Kingdom. One of the things you can find in the Hyrule of Tears of the Kingdom is horses that you can tame, ride, and then register and keep as your own friend for life. Some of these horses in Tears of the Kingdom are tied to quests that are given to you throughout Hyrule, such as Princess Zelda’s golden horse, which is a side quest in the Lucky Clover Gazette questline. One such horse is Spot, who’s a part of the Spotting Spot side quest you get in Lookout Landing. Here’s our guide on how to complete Spotting Spot in Tears of the Kingdom.

When you get this quest from Lester at the south side of Lookout Landing, he gives you a few hints about his missing horse, Spot. Luckily, Spot isn’t too far away, so don’t worry about those hints for now. You can actually leave Lookout Landing through the southern door, which is also next to Lester, and continue down the path.

When you proceed down this path a little, keep an eye out for horses. When I completed this quest, the pack of horses was on the right, but I’m unsure whether that changes. But in the pack of horses near Lookout Landing you should see one that’s dotted with spots, that’s the Spot we’re looking for!

Now we need to get onto Spot. You’re going to want to employ the usual horse taming tactics here, and sneak up to Spot, before riding the horse and taming Spot. This took me half a stamina wheel, so it should be fine to do even without stamina upgrades.

After taming Spot, you’re going to want to head back to Lookout Landing and speak to Lester. This will complete Spotting Spot in Tears of the Kingdom.
