Wisp Fountains attract up to three Wisps whenever it is dark or raining. They will hide within the fountain until the sun comes up, at which point they will fly away again. It is also possible to simply sit by the fountain and pluck the little guys right from the air before they settle into the fountain. A wisp will remain by you as long as you have it equipped from your inventory.

Here are the materials required to craft the Wisp Fountain.

  • Torn Spirit – Only one of these is needed. Three are dropped by Yagluth after defeating him.
  • Stone x10 – An easy early-game material simply picked up from the floor if necessary

To construct the Wisp Fountain, a Stonecutter will need to be crafted. This is an easily constructed building used for crafting Stone Walls and Cut Stone.

Other than catching the floating light sources, the Wisp Fountain can also be used to craft two other light-based items.

  • Mistwalker – This sword can deliver a three-part combo that inflicts double damage on the last hit. It inflicts slash, frost, and at later levels, spirit damage.
  • Wisp Torch – A torch made from a Wisp that clears whole areas of fog from the Mistlands. It does not need to be built next to a workbench and requires no fuel.
