You’ll get Gold fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by completing quests, but there are three things you should do to get Gold extra fast:

  1. Loot Gold from houses
  2. Find Gold in chests
  3. Sell items

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, nobody cares about stealing. You should walk into every house and steal everything you find. I’ve found many pouches of Gold sitting around in houses. You can also find Gold in chests as you explore the open world. Gold is less rare than finding RC in chests, but it’s still rare.

You can and should sell items to gain Gold in Dragon’s Dogma 2. I highly recommend you don’t sell your weapons or armor because you never know when you’ll switch Vocations and use them. If you’ve found something that is objectively better, sell your gear, but in general, you’re safe to farm Gold by selling healing items.

Getting DCP, which is the currency to unlock new Vocations and skills, and XP are linked. It’s self-explanatory — defeating enemies nets you XP and DCP. The harder the enemy is, say it’s a Minotaur with multiple health bars, the more DCP and XP you’ll get.

While you can go out at night to farm enemies for XP and DCP, I recommend playing it safe and hunting difficult enemies during the day. You don’t get more XP and DCP by defeating enemies at night, so wait for daytime to start your hunt.

Fastest way to get RC in Dragon’s Dogma 2

There are many great ways to get Rift Crystals, or RC, fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but the best way I’ve found is to look for chests in the open world that are off the beaten path. The harder the chest is to get to, the more likely it is to contain RC. I’ve gotten anywhere from 150 RC to 300 RC just from chests.

In my opinion, RC is the hardest currency to get in Dragon’s Dogma 2. I don’t recommend spending RC on hiring Pawns because you can get just as good Pawns for free. Instead, search hidden chests for RC and store it until you want to buy something nice.
