Tears Of The Kingdom Lightscale Trident Guide

How to get and reforge the Lightscale Trident in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

That'll be three Diamonds, please.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of cool weapons. You can even find classics like the Biggoron’s Sword and the Sword of the Hero. The problem is that all of these weapons can break, and you’re suddenly left with sticks and rusted swords. But the Lightscale Trident is a weapon that you can actually repair. This makes it a very useful weapon to have. So, let’s break down how you can get and also repair the Lightscale Trident in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to get the Lightscale Trident

First up, to get the Lightscale Trident you need to head over to Zora’s Domain. Here you’ll need to talk to Dento who can be located at the back of the general store. Breath of the Wild players may be familiar with Dento since he also gave you a Lightscale Trident in that game.

Unfortunately, you’ll need to get some things before Dento can make the Lightscale Trident. He needs one Zora Spear and three Diamonds. The Zora Spear is pretty easy to get since it’s used by Lizalfos near Zora’s Domain. If you’re currently on track to doing the Water Temple you should also have come across a few. The Diamonds are a little trickier since they’re the rarest of the ores. Diamonds have a low chance of appearing when you destroy ore deposits, so make sure you smash every one you see. Some Shrines also offer Diamonds as a reward in a chest at the end.

Once you’ve got the Lightscale Trident, you’ve got a weapon that can deal some serious damage in Tears of the Kingdom. For instance, with a Silver Lizalfos Horn attached, it has an attack rating of 56. So it’s a great weapon to have if you want to deal some serious damage. And when it breaks you can repair it pretty easily, but it isn’t cheap. You’ll need another Zora Spear and three Diamonds to get the weapon back. It’s a big ask to find that many, but if you’ve done plenty of mining and Shrine solving, you should have a fair amount of Diamonds to use.

Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of great weapons, but the Lightscale Trident is one you can earn again. And that fact alone makes it one of the best in the game. As long as you’re resourceful and can keep finding new Diamonds, you’ll always have a solid weapon ready to go.
